Access Control Officer

SH America is searching for an outgoing Access Control Officer to help keep our employees, visitors, facility, and property secure. Candidates will oversee all aspects of daily security and monitoring of property and access control, especially employee traffic in and out of facility, deliveries, shipping & receiving, and visitor access.
Candidate must be professional and customer-service oriented in this vital role at our manufacturing facility. We seek a collaborative and outgoing team-player that is detail oriented and takes pride in being part of a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate will work directly with SH America’s Leadership Team on all aspects of the role, duties, and responsibilities to ensure a safe and secure worksite.
- Employee, Visitor, Vendor, Shipping/Receiving access: Proactively monitor and manage access control and compliance for employees and guests via badge system, visual assessment, and credentials. Ensure deliveries and shipments are reconciled with appropriate documentation. Monitor, mitigate, and report site security concerns to Leadership. Enforce compliance and other site requirements.
- Parking Lot/Traffic Management: Ensure that vehicles on premises have appropriate parking tag, especially during security walks. Ensure legitimacy of all other vehicles entering and exiting site. Communicate to Leadership any concerns.
- Visitor and Delivery Management: Receive and document all visitors and deliveries that access and leave the site, keeping consistent written documentation for the customer’s records.
- Customer and Worker Support: Provide support in all areas of access control ranging from worker registration and badging, tech troubleshooting, visitor and delivery logs, and parking management.
- Overall site security and safety – use of third-party system to ensure that patrols are effective, efficient, and completed routinely.
- Ad hoc responsibilities: Assist with ad-hoc access control responsibilities to support our customers on one-time and ongoing access control related needs.
- Other duties as assigned related to the role.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience in security-related roles
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers
- Experience with CCTV, remote access and controls systems, and other security-related devices
- Detail orientation and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities in dynamic work environment
- Adaptable, flexible, and able to assist, escalate, and resolve challenges
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 45 lbs. routinely during shift
- Standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time, based on function being performed
- Use of upper extremities for pushing, pulling, lifting, and keyboarding
- Use of lower extremities for walking routine over paved, grassy, and uneven surfaces inside and outside
- Extended use of visualization

Essential Functions:
Able to stand, sit, twist, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 45# on a routine basis for up to 10 hours per workday. Visually and physically access and monitor control panels. Able to interact with people in varying situations, with international backgrounds and dialects.
