Radiology Technician at Akicita Federal, LLC – Chinle, Arizona

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist will provide uninterrupted outpatient services to produce high-quality radiographic studies used for medical diagnosis. The technologist will work within the Outpatient Radiology Department at the Pinon Health Center, serving a rural patient population (approximately 11,000 patients), many of whom are traditional Navajo speakers. Services may occasionally be required at other facilities within the Chinle Service Unit, such as the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF).

Location: Pinon Health Center (PHC), Pinon, Arizona (Navajo Area Indian Health Service)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Imaging & Diagnosis: Produce radiographic studies to locate injuries, foreign bodies, or pathological conditions as interpreted by medical officers.

Patient Care: Perform outpatient primary care, obstetric, and urgent care imaging services. This includes checking in patients, explaining procedures, and transferring patients to and from examination tables.

Clinical Consultation: Confer with radiologists for complex or non-standard examinations and advise referring physicians of results.

Priority Management: Evaluate the nature of critical or emergency procedures and rearrange patient priorities accordingly.

Documentation: Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to input all pertinent patient information and maintain accurate clinical records.

Quality & Maintenance: Participate in all ARRT-required quality control (QC) activities and maintain repair, maintenance, and supply records for the department.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to handwashing protocols, utilize patient shielding protection, and follow facility-specific safety reporting requirements.

Certification: Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
