Remote System Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior System Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will take on essential technical responsibilities for the reliability, security, and operational effectiveness of a Linux-based on-prem infrastructure. Your decisions regarding architecture and technology will influence the success of various projects and ensure smooth operations. By establishing clear processes and documenting procedures, you will support and optimize daily workflows within the team. Your role will also be pivotal in ensuring compliance requirements are met, while fostering collaboration across departments to explain complex topics in a simplified manner.
Accountabilities
  • Raise quality through reviews and pairing.
  • Design and document technical solutions.
  • Ensure well-operable systems that support development.

Requirements
  • Several years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator focused on Linux infrastructure.
  • Experience in medium to large companies with established processes.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and understanding of interrelations.
  • Ability to document clearly and coach others effectively.
  • Skill in balancing operations and project work based on project management fundamentals.
