The Industrial Engineer is responsible for evaluating, designing, and improving production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role will analyze workflow, production methods, layouts, and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive operational excellence across the facility.Key Responsibilities:Analyze current manufacturing processes, workflows, and material flow to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.Develop and optimize plant layout, workstation design, and material handling methods to maximize productivity and reduce waste.Establish and refine time standards, labor utilization rates, and production capacities.Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S).Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving for process deviations or quality issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and related process documentation.Evaluate new equipment and technology; lead cost-benefit analysis and justification for capital improvement projects.Monitor production data, KPI performance, and report trends to leadership.Provide training and support to supervisors and production staff on process changes and improvement methods.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related engineering discipline required.2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis capabilities.Proficient in CAD software, process simulation tools, or layout planning software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.Preferred Attributes:Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Certification.Experience designing workflow layouts and time/motion studies.Ability to lead change and influence the team.Proficient in English, Spanish a plus.Benefits:
