About This Position

Description:

Overview: The RTI Coordinator supports campus-based Response to Intervention (RtI) implementation through development of and consultation with the general education and special education educators, development and implementation of student interventions, and coordination of RtI practices, data collection, and data review. The RtI Coordinator is responsible for providing push-in and pull-out support, as well as overseeing paperwork for Tier II and Tier III students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for and experience with teaching students how to be confident readers, mathematicians and will have experience with guided reading and/or small group instruction alongside having classroom management prowess which assists classroom teachers implement strategies for those students in RtI for behavior.

Employment Schedule: 10 months, full-time

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential functions of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Understands how students learn and provides learning opportunities that support intellectual, social, and personal development of diverse learners
  • Evaluates student progress and uses formal and informal assessment strategies to determine whether students have achieved high standards and modifies instructional strategies as needed to maximize achievement.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training and consultation to general-education teachers for implementation of Tier I and Tier II supports.
  • Support data reviews to assist teachers in making tier placement decisions.
  • Support teachers in RtI data collection and record-keeping.
  • Develop and implement Tier III interventions and supports. Design systems and tools to measure the effectiveness of Tier III support (when current system warrants process improvements).
  • Develop and maintain a calendar alongside the school administration to ensure timely data analysis and student reviews.
  • Secure and share resources necessary for program development and direct student supports.
  • Collaborate with ESE team as needed for student referrals. Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings as needed. (SBT or MTSS)
  • Works effectively with school colleagues, parents, and the community to support students’ learning and well-being.
  • Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
  • Actively engages in professional development opportunities.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Total Possible Compensation Package: $57,187.50
