Warehouse Lead Associate at Ayers Mechanical Group – Van Wert, Ohio

We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Lead Associate with strong experience in HVAC and plumbing to support our growing commercial installation team. This role is key to our success; you’ll collaborate closely with our lead estimator, project managers, and the procurement team to ensure our operations run smoothly.

What You'll Do:

• Receiving & Inventory
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect for damage
  • Accurately enter received goods into inventory systems
  • Label and store materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors
• Tool Crib Management
  • Issue and track tools, equipment, and supplies to employees
  • Maintain accurate records of tool usage, returns, and condition
  • Perform routine audits of tool inventory
  • Ensure tools are clean, organized, and in good working condition
• Stock & Warehouse Duties
  • Maintain organized stock levels and storage areas
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with full inventory counts
  • Replenish stock as needed to support operations
  • Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Vehicle Maintenance Records
  • Maintain and update records for all company vehicles, including service history, inspections, and repairs
  • Coordinate with vendors or internal staff for vehicle repairs and maintenance
  • Keep organized digital and/or physical files for all fleet documentation

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED
• Forklift certified
• Clean driving record
• 2+ years of warehouse experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, ductwork, piping, and construction drawings.
• Proficiency with computer software (e.g., Service Titan, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams).
• Comfort with technology and a willingness to adopt new tools, including AI-driven systems that enhance accuracy and workflow efficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
