This position is responsible for assisting the preschool director.

Starting Pay Rate: TBD

Full Time Year Round

Requirements:

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the director oversee the safety, quality, and all operations of the program.
  • Assist in the hiring and conducting evaluations.
  • Assist the director with ensuring deadlines are met with tuition, funding paperwork, annual licensing, and in service hours.
  • Parent communications and relations including, but not limited to tuition, activities, behavioral issues, and special events.
  • Support and guide staff by providing training, encouragement, and actionable feedback on effective teaching strategies, behavior management, and academic instruction best practices.
  • Ensure the quality of the content being taught by assisting in the developing and continually reviewing curriculum, as well as observation of how it is implemented.
  • To ensure standards are implemented within teacher lesson plans and schedules are being followed.
  • Assist with making sure all deadlines are met.
  • Assist with making sure all ratios are being followed and procedures for compliance are enforced at all times.
  • To keep the learners safe at all times; must be familiar with all emergency procedures and aware of special conditions for the learners within the school.
  • Communicate to the Director any challenges, concerns, and solutions you may have.
  • Treat all learners with dignity and respect while encouraging independence.
  • Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
  • Be loyal to the school at all times.
  • Lead by example - Training up assistants to take lead roles and make our school stronger.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the Clearinghouse.
  • MUST pass the DCF background screening process.
  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, along with experience in early childhood education.
  • Experience in working with learners; a commitment to teaching is essential.
  • A degree in Early Childhood is preferred but required.
  • 45 hours DCF training.
  • Must have his/her CDA.
  • Experience in preschool education is required.
