The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring all outbound shipments are accurately picked, prepared, and processed in a timely manner. This position manages shipping transactions in Plex, coordinates shipment scheduling, and maintains organized and accurate shipping documentation to support efficient logistics operations.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick orders accurately based on customer requirements and internal schedules.
• Process and ship orders in Plex by entering shipment details, generating labels, and completing system transactions.
• Prepare and review shipping paperwork including bills of lading, packing slips, and any required carrier documentation.
• Coordinate and schedule shipments for all customers, ensuring timely pickup and delivery with carriers and truck drivers.
• Organize and maintain shipping paperwork for recordkeeping, audits, and compliance purposes.
• Communicate with production, customer service, and quality teams to ensure shipment accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Verify product counts and shipment accuracy before release to carriers.
• Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures in the shipping area.

JOB SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Familiarity with Plex ERP or similar shipping/inventory systems a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and data entry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if required).
