BAI is currently seeking an AI Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. This is a high-impact, early-stage opportunity where you will have meaningful ownership and play a key role in shaping the future of our systems and technology.

We are looking for an AI Engineer to help us aggressively automate workflows, data processing, and system-building using modern AI tools and agent-based architectures.

This role is not about maintaining legacy code. It’s about building scalable, cloud-native systems powered by AI agents that automate document ingestion, workflow orchestration, data transformation, and operational decision-making.

You’ll help us accelerate technology advancement by using AI-assisted development to move faster than traditional engineering teams ever could.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven workflow automation systems
• Build data pipelines to extract, transform, and normalize structured and unstructured data (e.g., spreadsheets, PDFs, claims files, emails)
• Architect agent-based systems to automate internal operations and client-facing processes
• Integrate automation into cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability and reliability
• Partner with business and operations teams to identify and eliminate manual processes through intelligent automation
• Rapidly prototype and deploy AI-powered tools that improve speed, accuracy, and operational leverage

• Have a background in engineering or software development

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Approximately 3+ years of experience delivering technical solutions (degree not required)
• Proven ability to deploy real-world, production-level systems
• Experience or familiarity with:
  • Workflow automation platforms
  • Data extraction from spreadsheets, PDFs, and unstructured data sources
  • User-assisted data validation workflows
  • Salesforce integrations (APIs, automation, case management)
  • Cloud infrastructure and scalable system design
  • Agent-based AI architectures and AI-assisted development workflows
• Strong understanding of scalable system architecture
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
