About This Position
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Sheetrock Installer to join our team. The Sheetrock Installer will be responsible for measuring, cutting, installing, and finishing drywall panels to create smooth, durable wall and ceiling surfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, knowledge of drywall installation techniques, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Measure, cut, and fit drywall panels to the specified dimensions.
• Secure drywall sheets to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using appropriate tools and fasteners.
• Apply tape, compound, and finishing techniques to prepare surfaces for painting or finishing.
• Repair or replace damaged drywall as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure finished surfaces are level, smooth, and free of defects.
• Work closely with other construction team members to meet deadlines.
• Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean job site.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Sheetrock/Drywall Installer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of drywall installation and finishing techniques.
• Ability to measure, cut, and install drywall with accuracy.
• Skilled in applying mud, tape, sanding, and finish surfaces.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy sheets of drywall.
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in residential construction.
• Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
