Infrastructure Architect

This role offers a hands-on leadership opportunity to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for a next-generation platform with a focus on performance, reliability, and automation. The Infrastructure Architect will collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. This position emphasizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, DevOps tooling, and proactive monitoring while optimizing system performance. You will play a key role in shaping infrastructure strategy, implementing automation, and resolving complex technical challenges across multiple environments. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration in a fast-paced, innovative environment. It is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust cloud systems and mentoring others in engineering best practices.
Accountabilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements and optimize system performance.
  • Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives to ensure consistent, repeatable, and scalable deployments.
  • Implement and support DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks to streamline operations.
  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize cost and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product teams, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve infrastructure and application issues.
  • Maintain documentation and share best practices across teams to promote knowledge transfer.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience designing and supporting production systems.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying cloud solutions, particularly on AWS.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, UNIX shell, YAML, and JSON.
  • Skilled in Unix/Linux and Windows system administration.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools, including Terraform.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, EKS).
  • Experience with CI/CD frameworks and tools (GitLab, Artifactory).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace) and implementing observability solutions.
  • Experience in SaaS or FDA-regulated product development environments is a plus.
  • Cloud and security certifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
