General Purpose:

Accurately and precisely palletize outbound shipments. Responsible for the sorting and floor loading of all UPS and FedEx packages.

Essential Functions:

  • Inspect and look for proper labeling, packaging, taping and apparent damages
  • Sort and palletize all shipments on 40X48 pallets 5 to 6 feet high unless specified by Supervisor
  • Heavier boxes need to be placed on the bottom to ensure other product is not crushed
  • Work closely with supervisors and managers being shipped
  • All boxes placed on pallets should have shipping labels facing outward on the pallet for ease of QC when possible
  • Assist in dunnage or checkout as needed
  • Keep up with 5S and departmental housekeeping
  • Cap and Stretch wrap pallets by hand
  • Assist in monitoring other new associates in safety practices
  • Organize inventory and warehouse space
  • Inspect products
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve and optimize warehousing procedures
  • Abide by all company safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work extended hours and some weekends during peak season
  • Ability to count and match numbers accurately
  • Ability to read small print letters and numbers
  • Ability to work on second or third floor
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs boxes
  • Possess ability to embrace teamwork, but work independent at a quick pace
  • Help others to improve overall productivity and efficiency
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Other Duties as assigned
