Job Description
Responsibilities
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor creates, implements and performs routine maintenance and monitoring plan for pharmacy automation equipment to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance with regulations and vendor/equipment guidelines; and for environmental controls to ensure productivity of equipment and staff as well as compliance with regulations and vendor/equipment guidelines. This Facility Maintenance Supervisor communicates and coordinates with vendors when external services are needed for advanced maintenance or repair; and will train approved pharmacy staff to troubleshoot routine problems that do not require mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic repair or advanced intervention. The Facility Maintenance Supervisor must be able to handle medications to ensure quality/integrity of medications as well as compliance with laws governing medications; and have the background and capability to become vendor-certified for preventative maintenance and repair of specified pharmacy automation systems in order to ensure continuous and uninterrupted prescription fulfillment process. This role must demonstrate understanding of basic facilities systems and routine maintenance of such systems as HVAC, electric, plumbing, information technology and security; and should have the ability to read and interpret manuals/instructions in order to troubleshoot and/or make minor repairs.

Qualifications
Required:
- Three years experience building maintenance, HVAC maintenance, electrical systems maintenance or other comparable trade experience
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Technician Registration-Kentucky Board of Pharmacy
Desired:
- One year experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- HVAC, Electrician; Trade or Apprenticeship
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB Certification), HVAC, Electrician or equivalent/comparable Mechanical Systems Certification
