Accountant - In Office Required at Zone Distribution – Spring, Texas

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close
• Complete account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Process and record cash receipts and apply payments to customer accounts
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and account analysis
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and internal review
• Utilize P21 (Prophet 21) ERP software for accounting tasks (preferred)
• Build and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets for reporting and analysis
• Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, from front-line sales to upper management.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, preferred but not required
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Experience with P21 software or other ERP systems (a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale environment
