Security Officer at CheckSammy Inc. – Plant City, Florida

The Security Officer role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the CheckSammy Plant City warehouse, its employees, and its assets. This role also supports daily warehouse operations, including inventory control, equipment troubleshooting, and replenishment of operational supplies.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, both inside and outside.
- Identify, report, and respond to suspicious activity.
- Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized removal of goods.
- Monitor restricted areas.
- Respond to and document incidents, safety concerns, and accidents.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and emergency services when necessary.
- Enforce company and OSHA safety policies.
- Assist in emergency evacuations and safety drills.
- Enforce company policies on security, safety, and conduct.
- Perform bag checks as needed.
- Complete accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations.
- Report facility maintenance and security issues.

Operational Support Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of operational supplies (gaylords, pallets, tape, shrink wrap, straps, etc.).
- Monitor and manage propane levels for forklifts.
- Restock materials to support workflow.
- Notify supervisors when supplies are low or at reorder points.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of forklifts, conveyors, balers, and tippers.
- Report equipment issues to maintenance or repair vendors.
- Secure areas around malfunctioning equipment to prevent accidents.

- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Prior law enforcement or military experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to monitor and maintain facility security, including access control, surveillance systems, and incident reporting.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to respond calmly and professionally in high-pressure situations.
