Who we are
AtPerinton Veterinary Hospital,you'llfeel the warmth and openness of our clinic, while having the opportunity and support of a united network.Our ideal candidate is an individual who is passionate about animal care, highly motivated,efficient,and pays attention to detail.Our VeterinaryAssistants work side bysideour Veterinarians (DVMs) and Licensed Vet Technicians (LVTs) during procedures.A full-time position would require working between 30-40hoursa week. Days, evenings, weekends (Saturday rotations).
Role Responsibilities:
  • Competently speak and write the English language.
  • Perform job tasks efficiently without rushing.
  • Promote a positive attitude among staff.
  • Handle stress and pressure with poise and tact.
  • Communicateand educateclients on medicalrecommendationsin person or over the phone
  • Stocking exam and treatment rooms with supplies,maintainingacleanenvironment for thehospital
  • Utilizing computer information systems to record patient history, update andmaintainmedical records.
  • Precisely dispense pharmaceuticals asrequired.
  • Aid in placingweekly inventory orders, manage on-hand inventory,andreceive shipments.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience in animal husbandry.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, AAS or higher preferred.
  • Ability tolift upto 50 pounds, squatting, reach, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay range starting at $16-18/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
