TES for Coastal Research Center
Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The job requires research assistants to swim, with fins, safety equipment, and with a partner, into the Atlantic Ocean or Delaware Bay 600-800’ off the shore to a depth of -15 feet while taking multiple location data points with survey gear. Applicants should be comfortable in the water, enjoy hard work, and be team-players.
Applicants will also need transportation to the Coastal Research Center, 30 Wilson Ave., Port Republic, Bldg 508, on the days they are working. There is no transportation provided from campus.
Required Qualifications:
University Certification Requirements:
- Lifeguard or Dive (PADI/NAUI) certifications
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Some types of military training may be substituted for certifications
