Job Title: Warehouse Associate Location: Prince Frederick, MD Hourly Rate: $17/hr

Duration: 5 to 8 Days (Monthly) Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Description:

Abacus Staffing is seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team in Prince Frederick, MD for a recurring monthly project lasting 3 to 4 days for a month and then every other month there will be a 10-12 day project. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing a combination of general labor, picking, packing, palletizing, and shipping tasks. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and dedication to maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment will be essential to our success.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor duties, including but not limited to, material handling, sorting, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain inventory accuracy and support efficient warehouse operations.
• Efficiently pick particular orders of maps and pack them in the appropriate box with the right quantity and type of map, ensuring products are properly handled and stacked.
• On occasion, be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling any discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and order fulfillment.
• Adhere to quality control standards to ensure products meet specified requirements before shipment.
• Feed printed material from pallets to assigned pockets on gatherer, visually inspect product for defects and report any problems to machine operator or supervisor, and stack collated materials on pallets.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in a non climate controlled environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

• Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse.
• Positive, Self-Motivated attitude.
• Attention to detail when picking and reading an order ticket.
