About This Position
JOB SUMMARY
The Housekeeping Supervisor is an integral member of the NOW center leadership team. Directly oversees all housekeeping staff, with emphasis on ensuring day to day operations of the NOW center are met with minimal supervision.
Ensure excellent customer service to all guest of the NOW center. Is directly responsible for all environmental services and related business functions of the NOW center.
Strives for superior performance of the NOW center by consistently providing excellent customer service to leadership and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the wellness experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of community centered care.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working lead housekeeping position throughout the NOW building.
- Takes principal responsibility for all housekeeping and custodial operations.
- Cover duties of absent employees while on duty to ensure quality standards are being met for housekeeping areas.
- Monitor cleaning schedules/rotations to ensure all areas are cleaned according to established schedules and adjust to workloads as needed.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings and complete staffing schedules.
- Reporting of faulty equipment/ areas of needed attention to NOW leadership team.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements, corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
DEPARTMENTAL AND ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure overall cleanliness of NOW center

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- High school diploma. Associates degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Preferred experience as a lead or supervisor over multiple staff, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- At least two years of experience within an EVS role, preferably healthcare.
- Experience in stress tolerance and problem solving
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES/MOTOR SKILLS
- Able to travel independently throughout all Memorial Healthcare facilities.
- Small motor skills required for operating modern computer, office, and telephone equipment as utilized by Memorial Healthcare (MHC).
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL ABILITIES
- Proficiency using modern office, computer and telephone equipment as used by Memorial Healthcare.

- Ability to adapt and maintain focus in fast paced, quickly changing or stressful situations.

- Able to see for the purpose of reading information received in formats including but not limited to paper, computer, reports, bulletins, updates, manuals.
- Able to hear for work-related purposes.
- Able to be in a loud, crowded environment for extended period of time.
