Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
• Completion of cardio thoracic step down unit technician orientation modules/class/clinical

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Evenings
• FT

Essential Functions:

• Operates and assists in the monitoring of a patient on the Cardio thoracic Step down Unit.
• Administers individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of cardio thoracic step down unit procedures.
• Assumes responsibility for patient care and monitoring before, during and after procedures under the direction and supervision of an RN.
• Executes special assignments with the unit assigned to them by the Nurse Manager/PCC/CC/RN.
