Position Overview
The Clinical Director (CD) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the treatment team and ensuring effective clinical engagement for all clients. Acting as the primary facilitator throughout the client’s treatment journey, the CD monitors progress, manages treatment plans, and delegates tasks to clinical staff.

Under the immediate supervision of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for each component of the client’s treatment planning, including all programmatic implementation.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain adherence to HIPAA compliance in all client communications.
• Demonstrate competency in DSM-V usage.
• Possess fundamental knowledge of pre-authorizations during admission and provide clinical reports to insurance as needed.
• Conduct new hire orientation and introduce the clinical department to all new staff.
• Answer all inquiries regarding treatment and programming.
• Provide supervision to Therapists and Clinical Manager; conduct interviews, recommend prospective staff, and complete corrective action summaries as needed.
• Conduct competency reviews, training, and routine performance evaluations, including job-specific training.
• Audit the EMR system for all clients to ensure prompt and accurate documentation.
• Adhere to Medicaid and DMHA guidelines for all programming requirements.
• Assign and manage all on-call rotations and holiday/PTO schedules for the clinical team.
• Provide monthly in-service staff training, including treatment team meetings and Joint Commission requirement meetings.
• Document sessions with all clients and manage discharge processes as needed.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and ensure ethical treatment of all clients.
• Facilitate process groups twice weekly with a current client caseload.
• Maintain professional boundaries, appearance, demeanor, and effective communication.
• Manage a caseload of 5-8 clients, including all duties and responsibilities assigned to therapists.
• Audit therapy notes daily and conduct weekly supervision for therapists as required.
• Review and sign bios, treatment plans, therapy progress notes, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and completion.

Qualifications
• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a Behavioral Health discipline, with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience.
• An active, unrestricted clinical license is required.
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Strong leadership skills to encourage and inspire direct reports.
• Client-centered team approach with advanced computer skills.
• Scheduling flexibility REQUIRED to accommodate varied client admissions.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and provide insured transportation.

Compensation
• $80,000 - $95,000 per year
