Inventory Specialist - Livingston, NJ at RWJBarnabas Health – LIVINGSTON, New Jersey

Job Overview:

Assumes responsibility for all inventory functions including, but not limited to: physical inventory counts, excess inventory review, drug/supply ordering, Cardinal CIM inventory, Pharmacy on-hand inventory, and any other inventory related functions. Will be involved in some reverse distribution related functions.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred:

• Some pharmacy inventory experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• NJ Pharmacy Technician license

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full Time, Day and some weekends when necessary
• The position requires intermittent travel to stores for floater technician coverage and inventory training

Essential Functions:

• Floater technician for all locations when necessary
• Oversee daily Cardinal CIM program
• Inventory Manager and Trainer
• Train pharmacies on CIM inventory tool for optimal cost savings
• Purchase proper drug items to assist in cost containment
• Monitoring of all staff training…both BH and regulatory
• Handle Weekly Scheduling of Retail Pharmacy personnel
• Assists with last minute call outs-ex: Sick Calls
• Payroll back up employee for the department
• PeopleSoft invoice processing and back up
