About the role
You will work as part of a small test team supporting multiple software applications in varying stages of deployment.What you'll do
- Know modern automated testing methodologies and technologies.
- Responsible for manual testing when the coding of an automated solution is impractical or not desirable
- Maybe required to work with the application developers to support performance/load testing to fully evaluate the application capabilities.
Qualifications
- Used SQL queries for data validation (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL)
- Expert in Selenium WebDriverEmphasized experience in the area of writing automated code (Java) as opposed to simply click and record
- Must be able to evaluate developer assignments, independently understand requirements, and engineer tests to evaluate best path scenario as well as probe for possible failure conditions
- Must know to use an IDE to code (ex – IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans)
- Interactive in a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting, vi)
- Expert in writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios
- Demonstrated history with manual and automated test processes
- Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
- Ensure the QA and testing approach references all known vulnerabilities and best practices
- Conduct and report testing using a repeatable process based on industry best practices
- Maintain and update the test environment
- Development skills, as automated testing is a lot of writing code.Solid hands-on experience testing experience with testing tools such as JMeter and /or Selenium.
- Tested complex systems with external integration points
- Knowledge of unit test frameworks such as Junit and Postman
- Must work well in a group environment and collaborate with team members
- Familiarity with Source code management and integration (ex - GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins)
- Experience in an Agile environment
