Lab Assistant Level II at North Kansas City Hospital – North Kansas City, Missouri

SUMMARY: : Under the direction of Clinical Supervisors, Medical Laboratory Scientists and Lab Coordinators , they will perform receptionist, processor(Core, Microbiology or Anatomic Pathology) and phlebotomist duties. The LA2 must have 1-year NKCH experience and either be cross-trained in 3 departments (Phlebotomy, Processing, Reference Lab or Front Desk/Toxicology) or be a clinical specialist in Microbiology or Pathology.

EXPERIENCE: 12 years work experience preferred,2-3 years venipuncture and/or specimen processing preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Computer usage, customer service, attention to detail, dexterity, comfort handling biological specimens, and stamina.

EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
