Staff Accountant will perform basic accounting functions in accordance with GAAP and should also have an understanding of the operations of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Your Primary Duties will include:

· Assist with the daily operations of the accounting department including:

· Assist with month, quarterly, and end-year process

· Accounts payable/receivable

· Cash receipts

· Check runs

· Manage and reconcile accounts

· Prepaids and accruals

· Bank reconciliations

· Credit card accounts

· Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

· Assist with year-end audit schedules and deliverables

· Work with Controller to create process improvements in time management, problem solving, and department workflow

· Improve systems and procedures and?initiate?corrective actions within in areas of focus

· Meet financial accounting objectives

· Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

· Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

· Understanding of accounting and purposes of different functions within the accounting process.

· Excellent organizational skills

· Experience in organizing, planning and prioritizing work

· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (internally and externally)

· Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and the ability to relate with supervisors, peers and team members

· Ability to work easily and effectively with a wide range of people, practicing in leadership, motivation, team building and conflict resolution.

· Attention to detail, accuracy and quality, organized, multi-tasker in a fast-paced environment.

Your Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance

· 2-3 years' work experience in an accounting environment

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and Access required

· Knowledge of QuickBooks required

· Remote position

Physical Demands of the Position:

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80%

· Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

· Frequently communicates with internal and external audiences via phone, computer and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

· Must be able to detect and determine details pertaining to work performed - this position requires frequent reviewing of documents and electronic communication, and making determinations based on information received
