What You’ll Do:
- Plan and implement an age-appropriate, individualized curriculum that supports children’s development and the center’s educational philosophy.
- Serve the children of NECC staff from 6 weeks to 5 years old
- Provide direct supervision and care for children’s daily activities — indoors, outdoors, and during routines (including diapering/toileting, handwashing, and other self-care tasks).
- Build trusting, supportive relationships with families and colleagues.
- Prepare anecdotal notes and developmental observations for parent conferences.
- Complete accurate daily reports for parents using the HiMama app.
- Support a safe and healthy classroom environment, following all health and emergency procedures.
- Share in team housekeeping responsibilities and maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.

What You’ll Need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Be a caring, dependable, and creative educator who enjoys working with young children.
- Problem-solving skills, a professional demeanor and good classroom management.
- The ability to meet EEC Teacher qualifications (preferred: 3 credits in Child Growth & Development and 9 months experience)
- A team-orientated attitude that values collaboration, equity, and open communication.
- CPR certification (child, adult, and AED). Classes at NECC are available within your first 6 months.
