About This Position
Location: Accuseal Houston, TX
Shift Days/Hours: 1st shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
To Prep billets on a lathe for the CNC department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Set up a machine to Prep the billets on the face, and groove, turn down O.D and I.D.
- Control inventory.
- Inspect goods.
- Implement and practice Lean Manufacturing tools including 5S, to increase productivity, and eliminate waste.
- Assist in cross-training.
- Maintain a 5S checklist as it applies to your work area.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the lead or supervisor.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to learn basic computer skills.
- Must be able to use measuring devices.
- Must follow company safety procedures at all times.
- Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Must be able to visually inspect materials.
- Must be able to work in an environment with various temperatures.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have 6 months to 1 year of work-related experience or be qualified by certification.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses tools and other such equipment during the course of the job duties. Provided Personal Protective Equipment, as well as steel-toed boots or shoes, must be worn at all times.
Physical Demands
- Moderate walking and climbing
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, and stoop
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
