Imperial Golf Club is seeking an Irrigation Specialist / Lead Irrigation Technician to oversee and perform all irrigation repairs and maintenance for two 18-hole golf courses and clubhouse grounds. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including programming and troubleshooting irrigation systems, supervising two experienced Irrigation Technicians, and ensuring efficient water use and optimal turf health.

• Manage and perform irrigation repairs and maintenance for two 18-hole golf courses and clubhouse grounds

• Program, monitor, and troubleshoot the OSMAC computerized central controller system and field satellites

• Supervise, train, and support two Irrigation Technicians; coordinate irrigation needs with course supervisors

• Maintain and organize the irrigation parts storage area and manage inventory of parts and supplies

• Monitor and operate pump stations, fertigation, and chlorine injection systems

• Maintain accurate records of water usage, system maintenance, and repairs

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with golf course or large-scale turf irrigation systems

• Proficiency with computerized irrigation systems (OSMAC or similar)

• Strong understanding of pump stations, hydraulics, and fertigation systems

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and guide others

• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) a plus

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

• Ability to operate hand and power tools, irrigation equipment, and maintenance machinery safely

• Ability to climb in and out of pump stations, trenches, and maintenance areas as required

• Visual and manual dexterity required to inspect, adjust, and repair irrigation components
