About This Position

SUMMARY

Perform and assist in all mechanical service station functions at Ocean Reef Club Service Station. Providing exceptional service to all customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – In addition to the following duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:


    Perform Mechanical RepairsDiagnostic of vehicles Maintain department operationsStay up to date with new technologyImplementation and roll out of new technology such as Micro-MainWork with Service Station Staff on new technology applicationsSchedule training for new equipment and technology. Schedule work load for Service Station Maintain Ocean Reef Club vehicle fleetComplete all work in a correct and timely mannerWork on all types and makes of automobilesOrder parts on a timely mannerProcess invoices and follow up on payments Order parts and deal with vendorsAnswer phones and take massagesFollow up on customer's request and on vehicle repairs


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.


  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or Equivalent
  • EPA Section 609 certification for A/C systems
  • Strong mechanical skills are required on vintage, domestic and foreign vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for mechanical and electrical systems
  • English speaking skills required to understand assignments and strong teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of shop operation and valid driver's license
  • Must have transportation to and from Ocean Reef Club
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and service bulletins
  • Ensure all safety procedures are implemented and followed
  • Have own hand tools to preform mechanical repairs
  • Computer experience and understanding of spreadsheets.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Experience working on domestic and imported automobiles. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in an automotive service environment

LANGUAGE

Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments. Must be able to communicate mechanical finding to customers an be able to advise customer on mechanical repairs.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic mathematical skills are required. Previous reconciling experience is required. Must be able to count, give change and handle cash flow.

REASONING ABILITY

Individual must be able to diagnose mechanical/electrical situations and converse and coordinate with customers and employees to ensure the work need is communicated correctly. Must be able to set priorities and possess the ability to meet deadlines and exercise initiative within allowed limits. Must be able to recognize, handle and respect the confidentiality of certain information.
