About the role
As Adapt’s Front-end Developer, you’ll own the look, feel, and performance of our web and embedded chat interfaces. You’ll translate product requirements into polished, responsive user experiences that let business leaders and analysts interact intuitively with AI-driven insights.
What you'll do
- Build Conversational Interfaces
- Implement and maintain chat UIs using Next.js & TypeScript
- Handle streaming message updates, threaded conversations, and rich content components
- Craft Data-Rich Visualizations
- Develop reusable chart and table components for KPI trends, anomaly alerts, and “what-if” scenarios using libraries like Recharts or D3
- Ensure visuals adapt seamlessly across desktop and tablet viewports
- Integrate with APIs
- Interact with REST endpoints to kick off and consume AI-generated reports and insights
- Work closely with backend engineers to shape APIs and functionality
- Optimize Performance & Accessibility
- Profile rendering and loading of large data sets; implement code-splitting and lazy-loading where appropriate
- Adhere to React/Next.js best practices, using semantic HTML and modern CSS (Tailwind)
- Maintain a Scalable Component Library
- Contribute to and evolve our design system with well-documented, styled React components
- Write unit and integration tests (Vitest, Playwright) to ensure UI reliability
- Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner closely with UX/Product to iterate on prototypes and conduct usability tests
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and share front-end best practice
Qualifications
- 3+ years professional experience building React/TypeScript applications
- Strong expertise in Next.js and modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite)
The pay range for this role is:
200,000 - 300,000 USD per year(San Francisco, California)
