About This Position
The Hospice Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients and families/caregivers in accordance with the plan of care, directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors. Must be willing to work after hours and assist with bereavement functions. The Chaplain would be responsible for managing a team of patients and family members/caregivers.
Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology and at least two years of spiritual care/counseling experience preferred. Must be able to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group and be accepting of different lifestyles, cultures, faiths, beliefs and values. The Hospice Chaplain will need to be able to network with community clergy and congregations as well have knowledge of and a commitment to the hospice philosophy of care.
