Start date is June 1, 2026

Must be available to attend the 4-week Apprentice Program training, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, starting Monday, 6/1/2026.

• Full-Time, Nights, 36 hours per week.
• Three 12-hour variable Day shifts per week, some weekends and Holidays required

Upon successful completion of the program, the Trainee will transition into a Patient Care Tech role of posted shift

Here's What You Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly required
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.

What You Will Do:

• Texas Health Patient Care Techs (PCT) Apprentices are responsible for "learning while you earn" to create a pathway towards a career in healthcare to provide an excellent patient care experience at each Texas Health site.
• In addition to the required qualifications, a successful PCT Apprentice will:
• Complete a PCT apprenticeship program. Curriculum to include:
• Basic patient care skills
• Patient rights, communication, safety, observation, and reporting
• Assisting patients in maintaining basic comfort and safety
