Business Development Intern
The Business Development Intern role is to assist in Business Development and Sales Support within the Marketing Solutions Division.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with the Business Development and Customer Success Groups in support of the following:
- Conduct Market Research in the Incentive, Reward and Rebate industry to identify current trends, emerging products, competitive analysis
- Present results of market research to Incentive Marketing leadership team
- Assist in Supplier Portal registration process through management of new and existing registrations, to include updating company information and core primary SIC codes
- Create and maintain index of Supplier Portal registration information to include log-in credentials
- Perform general research using web and company approved AI tools to identify potential Incentive, Reward and Rebate opportunities, locate brand portals and complete supplier registration
- Perform general research using web and company approved AI tools to identify potential opportunities, collaborate with sales team on outreach
- Perform end-of-internship presentation to Group O Leadership team on internship experience and results
Secondary Functions:
- Assist in updating Loopio library entries specific to Marketing solutions content
- Assisting Corporate Marketing team on updating marketing specific sales content
- Collaborate and assist in the creation of Sales proposals and presentations
- Assist Business Development, Sales team and Customer Success Operations team as needed
- Research and vet new and emerging software and technology to further Group O’s capabilities

Job Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, or related field
Preferred Experience:
- Some sales experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional, clear and effective communication skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently
- Detail oriented
