Line Cook - Non-Restaurant Setting at CMC:Berkshires – New Marlborough, Massachusetts

CMC:Berkshires is a private 15-bed residential treatment center located on 200 acres in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. Compensation: $21-$23 hourly commensurate with experience (non-exempt/overtime eligible)

Job Type: Full-time Tuesday-Sunday 12PM to 8PM

We are seeking a professional, self-motivated individual to join our small team in a NON-RESTAURANT SETTING. Excellent opportunity to enhance knowledge/skills under the direction of talented chefs. Dependability, commitment to a regular schedule, and reliable transportation are absolute requirements. Must be able to execute complete, family style/buffet meals for 20-30 people. Environment is highly professional but not sterile, low pressure in a well-maintained kitchen.

• Minimum two years experience as a cook is preferred - in restaurant, foodservice, or institutional setting
• Proper knife skills and food preparation
• Knowledge of saute, grill, and frying
• Commitment to kitchen sanitation and safety standards (ServSafe Certification a plus)
• Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, withstand frequent up-and-down/twisting/repetitive movements, and reach with hands/arms to handle objects, tools or controls.
