About This Position
Description:
Purpose of the Position:
The Etching Program Associate will be part of the glassybaby in house etching team. This detail-oriented person will help facilitate glassybaby etched products for glassybaby customers. They will complete all tasked for an etched product in a timely manner.
Requirements:Primary Duties:
- Properly layout and mask glass as needed so treatment is applied only to specific area(s) for etching.
- Fill etched characters with opaque paint/paste, as requested in products or workpieces.
- Clean workpieces or finished products.
- Inspect finishes of workpieces or finished products.
- Examine engraving for quality of cut, rough spots, and irregular or incomplete engraving.
- Communicate with other departments regarding any issues or rework that may be needed.
- Work in accordance to process procedures, work order instructions, drawings and other production documents.
- Operate etching machine and ancillary tools.
- Mount materials or workpieces onto etching production equipment.
- Communicate any problems with equipment, devices or products.
- Support the coordination and flow of custom etching orders for glassybaby.
- Help maintain glassybaby systems to track and communicate custom etching orders.
- Accurately enter data in glassybaby’s tracking spreadsheets as required.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by Etching Program Manager.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
- High School diploma, equivalent or enrollment preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Luxury brand sales experience preferred.
- Detail oriented.
- Artistic background, drafting, painting, sketching
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Frequent sitting and standing and occasional walking.
- Must be able to speak and hear well enough to conduct conversations.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to work in an environment where noise level is usually moderate.
- Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; must be able to reach with hands and arms.
