Engineered Comfort Solutions (ECS) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HVAC/MEP/Industrial Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team. In this pivotal role, you will accurately estimate project costs for large-scale commercial and industrial HVAC/MEP systems, including Power Plant Generation and other trade disciplines. Your expertise will help ECS secure high-value bids and ensure project profitability and performance. • Analyze HVAC/MEP construction documents to develop accurate, competitive bids.

• Prepare detailed material takeoffs and labor estimates for sheet metal, piping, controls, and HVAC equipment.

• Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotes.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and resolve discrepancies.

• Support value engineering efforts and propose alternative solutions where applicable.

• Maintain historical cost databases and benchmarking tools.

• Prepare and present bid packages; participate in internal bid reviews and project handoff meetings.

• Track bid results and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline.

• Use estimating software (Procore or equivalent) for efficient and accurate estimating.

• 35 years of HVAC/MEP or mechanical estimating experience required.

• Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC systems: ductwork, hydronics, air handling, and controls.

• Proficient in estimating tools (e.g., Procore, MS Excel).

• Familiarity with local mechanical codes, ASHRAE, and SMACNA standards.

• Skilled in blueprint and spec interpretation.

• Detail-oriented with strong time management and communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
