Responsibilities
Own the pre-invoice preparation of customer orders, ensuring they are complete, compliant, and ready for first-pass invoicing. This role plays a critical part in improving billing accuracy, accelerating cash flow, and reducing manual effort through process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. This role manages two stages of the Opportunity to Cash (OTC) Lifecycle—Billing Readiness (pre-fulfillment quality controls) and Billing Operations (post-delivery preparation)—and works cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and Product teams to enable straight-through processing and scalable growth. This role does not generate invoices or post revenue; it ensures everything is ready so invoicing happens cleanly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement scalable business processes and customer service standards to deliver efficient order processing.
- Implement vendor strategies, policies, and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Own billing readiness standards and ensure orders meet requirements before fulfillment.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement automation and AI that reduce manual review and improve data quality.
- Manage post-delivery order preparation to enable accurate, first-pass invoicing.
- Define and improve straight-through processing (STP) eligibility across transaction types.
- Manage and develop a team of billing readiness and billing operations analysts.
- Track and report key operational and efficiency metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7-9 years Experience in a billing operations, order-to-cash, revenue operations, or similar role. Required
- 4-6 years Managing a team of experienced professionals. Preferred
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Database management platforms.
