B2C Mechanical Inc., (A 100% employee-owned ESOP) is looking to hire an organized, professional Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our team.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, utilizing your analytical skills to assess project requirements, provide accurate cost estimates, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review project plans and specifications to accurately assess fire protection requirements.
2. Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation.
3. Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for fire protection systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
4. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure comprehensive understanding of project scope.
5. Analyze historical data and market trends to validate and adjust cost estimates as needed.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials.
7. Prepare and present bid proposals to clients, ensuring all requirements and details are clearly communicated.
8. Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate cost-related issues in project execution.
9. Update and maintain a database of cost estimates, historical costs, and supplier pricing.
10. Assist in the negotiation of contracts with clients, ensuring all fire protection requirements are met.
11. Review and analyze post-project cost reports to improve future estimating accuracy.
12. Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and regulations related to fire protection systems.

Requirements:

1. NICET Certification - Level 2 or higher
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in fire protection estimating or related construction estimating.
3. Strong knowledge of fire protection systems including sprinkler, alarm, and suppression systems.
4. Proficiency in estimating software such as Quick Bid, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
5. Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IBC).
6. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
10. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
12. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
13. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Has the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Frequent standing and walking during site visits and inspections. Ability to climb ladders and access elevated areas for site evaluations. Capacity to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 pounds. Adequate visual acuity to read blueprints, plans, and detailed documents. Ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions during site assessments. Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment and tools. Capacity to work in environments that may be noisy or dusty. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required on job sites.
