About This Position

The Part-Time Social Media Specialist is responsible for planning, creating, and managing engaging content across our social media platforms. This role helps communicate our mission, events, and stories in a compelling and consistent way, strengthening connection and engagement within our community and beyond.
Requirements
  • 2-3 Years Experience managing a church/business social media account.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Must be fully bi-lingual in Spanish and English, including written grammatical competence in both languages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; team player.
  • A multimedia artist competent with taking photos, capturing and editing video, and creating graphics independently. Comfortable using programs like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Analytical and able to interpret social media analytics.
  • Acceptance and agreement with WBC Statement of Doctrine and Faith and WBC Statement of Christian Lifestyle.
  • Willing to fully participate as an active member of Wheaton Bible Church.
Schedule Requirements
  • Sundays are required.
  • Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events to content capture.
  • Primarily remote work is possible, with some on-stie presence required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Regular use of computer, phone, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to stand and move about during events for extended periods of time.
