Non-Invasive Ultrasound Technologist 4 at Bryan Health – Lincoln, Nebraska

SUMMARY

The Noninvasive Ultrasound Technologist IV performs electrocardiography procedures, exercise stress testing, nuclear stress testing, ambulatory monitoring, cardiac and vascular ultrasound/imaging and other specialties of ultrasound for diagnostic purposes at Bryan Medical Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

2. *Competently performs diagnostic electrocardiograms, holter monitor applications and adult cardiac ultrasounds (Stress Echo and Transesophageal) and vascular ultrasound/imaging and ultrasound specialties in accordance with established departmental procedures.

3. *Performs quantitative calculations from data obtained and records preliminary impression where applicable.

4. *Provides the reading physician with adequate diagnostic information necessary to generate final report; notifies physician if results require immediate attention.

5. *Performs routine equipment maintenance and departmental maintenance including cleaning, disinfection and use of appropriate solutions.

6. *Transports patient and/or equipment, alone or with assistance, in bed, wheeled cart or wheel chair to designated area.

7. *Assists with holding venous and arterial pressure to achieve hemostasis.

8. *Accesses and administers drugs and biologicals that are pertinent to essential job functions in accordance with Medical Center procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from a diagnostic medical sonography program or equivalency required.

Must obtain Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RCDS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) within two (2) years of hire through the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or provide demonstrated progress toward achieving registry AND must obtain Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) within (2) years of hire through the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or provide demonstrated progress toward achieving registry.

Basic Life Support (CPR) with AED certification required. Valid State of Nebraska driver's license required. Verification and maintenance of responsible driving record per facility standards required.
