JOB SUMMARY

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall management and oversight of the program to ensure compliance with program and funding requirements. The Program Manager drives, manages, monitors, and reports the timely delivery of program results.

PROGRAM JOB SUMMARY

Father Engagement/Juvenile Review

The Program Manager will provide management and oversight for the Fatherhood Engagement Services (FES) and the Juvenile Review Board (JRB). The Program manager will provide clinical services to the clients of the FES program and ensure fidelity to trauma-informed and evidence-based clinical models. They will provide individual, family and group therapy to the clients in the Fatherhood Engagement Services Program. Our Fatherhood Engagement Services works to help strengthen father-child bonds and enhance the level of involvement of fathers in their DCF case planning, provision of services and positive parenting. Through intensive outreach, case management, clinical services and group programming, Village staff help fathers learn skills and characteristics to strengthen their parenting relationship. The Juvenile Review Board is a community-based program that provides youth who have committed juvenile offenses the opportunity to make things right with an alternative to juvenile court. Through a mediated process, youth understand how their behavior harmed the victim and community, acknowledge that their behavior harmed others, and take responsibility to repair the harm through direct or indirect action. A Balanced and Restorative Justice approach balances the needs of the offender, victim and the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for staff oversight, including but not limited to hiring, training, staff supervision, monitoring staff performance and ensuring performance management.
  2. Monitors and ensures the delivery of all required services to each client in the program, including appropriate documentation in the data system.
  3. Serves as an expert for the program and provides consultation internal and externally on behalf of The Village.
  4. Works closely with collateral agencies to ensure appropriate planning and continuity of services for clients.
  5. Serves as operational administrator of the program, which may include functions such as business leadership, facilities/grounds management, etc.
  6. Attends and/or facilitates all relevant trainings and planning meetings for the program.
  7. Ensures that culturally competent services are provided to all clients and families.
  8. Facilitates regular program meetings and provide supervision to all staff within program.
  9. Ensures that the census is maintained.
  10. Evaluates and assess the programs’ strengths and weaknesses.
  11. Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team both within the agency at large, including collaborating across departments regarding clients and service delivery.
  12. Other duties as assigned by manager.
Experience and Skills

EDUCATION

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Licensure: Relevant licensure as required by programmatic needs.
  • Must have 4+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively.
  • Conflict resolution, risk management and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, proven teamwork and motivational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage stress and respond to emergency situations safely and calmly, excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of client needs (behavioral, social, emotional).
  • Must be culturally competent to serve our population.
  • Must possess solid general computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
