About This Position

Campers Inn RV is looking for a Service and Parts Advisor. This role works with customers to schedule service work and communicate any additional service needed and ensure that the correct parts and accessories are in stock.

Essential Job Functions

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • This is a safety sensitive position
  • Identifies RV problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms
  • Assist Sales Staff in providing accessories
  • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
  • Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles
  • Prepares repair orders (RO) and dispatches incoming parts to technicians
  • Handles customer complaints and maintains high customer satisfaction standards
  • Periodically checks on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and contacts the customer as needed to keep them up to date with their RV’s status
  • Takes daily cycle counts and tracks all parts inventory
  • Receives all incoming parts

Qualifications

  • Education:
    1. High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience:
    1. A minimum of one year’s RV service experience preferred
  • Abilities:
    1. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills
    2. Ability to work flexible hours, as required is essential. Hours may include, evenings, and weekends
    3. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    4. Reliable and strong work ethic
    5. Commitment to superior customer service
    6. Ability to work independently as well as on a team
    7. Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
    8. Ability to use a computer and other office equipment
    9. Proficient with MS Office
    10. Knowledge or ability to learn company systems applications, including Motility Systems2K, and other software applicable
    11. Ability to safely handle solvents and chemicals
    12. Ability to move RVs of various sizes
    13. Ability to organize various physical tasks through adjusting, climbing ladders, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending
    14. Ability to stand for long periods of time
    15. Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
