This role offers the opportunity to shape the foundational services powering a high-growth SaaS platform used by millions of people. You will design, build, and maintain core infrastructure that enables product teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and innovative features. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment, with the ability to balance hands-on development, architectural decision-making, and cross-team guidance. You will work on critical platform systems such as analytics, experimentation, feature flagging, and real-time data delivery, directly impacting the efficiency and quality of the overall product experience. This is a chance to influence platform engineering standards, contribute to large-scale distributed systems, and help define the technical roadmap as the platform evolves.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on the App Platform team, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain critical platform services and frameworks that support product teams, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Build and operate high-availability, distributed systems using technologies such as Ruby/Rails, Go, and real-time server-to-client infrastructure.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and engineering best practices across the platform.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust platform solutions.
  • Build internal tools, SDKs, and frameworks that enhance developer productivity and maintain consistency across the platform.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and drive operational excellence through monitoring, testing, and incident response.
  • Lead and mentor peers by sharing expertise in distributed systems, real-time data delivery, and platform engineering principles.
Requirements:

Candidates should have:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend and distributed systems in SaaS or technology companies.
  • Strong experience with service-oriented architecture, microservices, and building resilient, scalable systems.
  • Proven track record of building and operating high-traffic, high-availability platforms in production environments.
  • Proficiency in API design, real-time data systems (Server-Sent Events, WebSockets), and internal developer tooling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex system issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with Golang, Ruby/Rails, Node.js, or TypeScript.
  • Background in platform engineering roles and distributed system architecture.
  • Experience decomposing monolithic applications into microservices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with ranges depending on location ($187,000 – $271,920 USD).
  • Top Performer Bonus program and equity awards.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Flexible vacation and paid parental leave programs.
  • Opportunities for career growth, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Participation in cross-functional projects and collaborative remote team environment.
