About This Position
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will be directly responsible for establishing and maintaining a team-centric workplace that is safe focused on People, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The role requires total oversight of team member engagement, safety, quality, production schedule attainment, and operational effectiveness (efficiency, scrap, and downtime). This positions will supervise approximately 2 Team Leads and 14 Direct Labor Teammates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage day-to-day supervision of employees with a focus on optimizing all resources (manpower, methods, materials, and machines) to obtain the daily production schedule and meet customer delivery requirements
- Promote unity and teamwork through Servant Leadership with personnel both within the shift and across other shifts from multiple departments
- Administer and comply with all company goals, plans, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate shift staffing and training
- Ensure safety of all employees, enforce usage of appropriate PPE, and actively support safety policies set forth by the company and OSHA
- Monitor completion and accuracy of mold changes, first piece, last shots, production reporting, process verifications, training documents, and operator work instructions
- Maintain overall housekeeping (interior and exterior) to promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment free of hazards through the implementation of 5S
- Responsible for the daily review of key shift performance indicators with actions to address deficiencies

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 5 years of fast-paced manufacturing leadership or commensurate experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of managing multiple priorities at once
- Proven ability to lead teams of 50 or more with the assistance of Team Leads
- Dynamic self-starter with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Functional computer skills required
- Functional ERP system knowledge (IQMS experience preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in thermoplastic injection molding preferred
- Knowledge of injection mold machines, tools, plastics, and robotics
- Mechanical aptitude

- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Able to bend, stoop, twist, stand repetitively for long periods of time 8 to 12 hours.
- Able to bend the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below the waist or down towards an object on or near the ground. Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
- Able to use hands and fingers to seize, hold, grasp and turn objects/parts.
- Ability to extend arms with the hands higher than the head; reaching at or below shoulder level.
- Ascend or descend ramps and/or stairs using feet and legs.
- Hearing: Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (machinery alarms, medical codes or alarms). Work frequently in close proximity to machinery, noise levels are moderate.
- Close vision (distance of 20 inches or less) and able to identify/distinguish colors.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% to 100% of the time.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- Frequently exposed to high, precarious places.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
