Clinical documentation / Compliance specialist at Distro – Ciudad de Mexico

We are seeking a specialist responsible for designing, maintaining, and auditing clinical documentation templates within the EHR, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting accurate medical coding, and enabling efficient provider workflows.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 6 PM MST) Modality: On Site

Skills:

• 3–5 years of professional medical coding or auditing experience (Preferred: 5+ years)

• Experience working with EHR templates, clinical documentation workflows, and/or compliance review

• Strong knowledge of E/M guidelines, Medical necessity standards, and LCD/NCD policy interpretation

• Preferred: Experience supporting physician documentation (medical scribe or similar role)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable tools for drafting documentation.

• English proficiency (C1+)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop clinical documentation templates aligned with LCD and payer policies, compliance standards, and provider workflows.

• Translate legacy EHR templates and macros into AdvancedMD to support system transitions.

• Audit and manage existing templates to identify compliance risks, documentation gaps, and opportunities for accurate coding.

• Enhance templates to strengthen medical necessity support and maintain regulatory compliance.

• Monitor regulatory, payer, and LCD updates and implement required template changes.

• Coordinate with education and template build teams to ensure accurate implementation from design to system build.
