What You'll Do
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counter Sales associate to join our team! The Parts Counter Sales Associate is responsible for assisting internal technicians and external customers with identifying, sourcing, and selling automotive parts and accessories. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to accurately process orders using dealership systems. The associate supports department goals by maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating special orders, and promoting a positive dealership experience.Why CMA?

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist technicians, service advisors, and retail/wholesale customers with parts identification and ordering
- Process parts sales, returns, and special orders using dealership management systems
- Maintain accurate inventory through regular counts, stocking, bin organization, and reconciliation
- Receive, verify, and properly label incoming parts shipments
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate backorder or availability issues proactively
- Ensure parts department workspaces remain organized and compliant with dealership standards
- Learn and stay current on parts catalogs, supersessions, and manufacturer updates
- Utilize technology and multiple software systems efficiently to research and process orders
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and product information in a dynamic environment
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong willingness to learn automotive parts, systems, and dealership processes
- Comfort using technology, including computers, parts catalogs, and dealership management systems
- Ability to quickly learn new software, tools, and product information in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and managing inventory
- Customer-focused mindset with clear communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the parts department for extended periods
- Frequently lift, carry, and move parts and materials weighing up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
Preferred:
- Prior experience in automotive parts, service, retail, warehouse, or customer service environments
- Basic knowledge of automotive components or dealership operations
- Experience with inventory management, stocking, or cycle counts
- Familiarity with electronic parts catalogs or dealer management systems
- Valid driver’s license
