Landscape Operations Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a self-driven and skilled Landscaping Operations Manager to independently manage and perform all landscaping activities for our company. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and completing all landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks while ensuring high-quality results and excellent customer service.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, experienced in the field, and comfortable managing all aspects of landscaping operations as a one-person department.
Key Responsibilities
Perform all landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, pruning, seasonal cleanups, and snow removal (if applicable).
Plan daily and weekly schedules to ensure timely completion of work across all assigned properties.
Communicate with management and other departments to address property needs, project priorities, and service expectations.
Identify landscaping issues, propose solutions, and execute improvements.
Maintain and operate all landscaping equipment, ensuring tools are in safe working condition.
Manage materials and supply needs, including ordering, inventory, and proper storage.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.
Provide recommendations for landscape enhancements or cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
3+ years of landscaping or grounds maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, equipment, and maintenance practices.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Valid driver’s license required; ability to operate trucks and trailers if needed.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and handle the physical demands of the role.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with basic irrigation maintenance or hardscape work.
Ability to perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal (if applicable).
