Our dealership is now seeking an experienced dynamic BDC Sales Representative with a proven track record in a new & used car automotive environment for our family-owned and operated dealership. In this position, you would be responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer communications, setting appointments, and supporting the sales department by creating a positive and professional first point of contact for customers. This role focuses on customer engagement, lead management, and appointment coordination to drive showroom traffic and sales opportunities. You would report directly to the BDC Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive sales, inside sales, call center, account management, or phone-based customer service.
- Proven experience in prospecting, cold calling, and managing large inbound lead lists.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and able to exceed performance-based metrics using consultative selling techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain records, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS), CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Google Workspace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Must be able to work service center hours: 7:00-6:00pm Monday-Friday; and 7:00am-5:00pm on Saturdays.
- Professional appearance, work ethic, and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license.
Essential Duties, but not limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound sales leads via phone, internet, email, and text.
- Respond promptly to new and existing sales inquiries, providing accurate information and an exceptional customer experience.
- Qualify prospects, build rapport, identify needs, and guide customers toward scheduling a dealership visit.
- Schedule, confirm, and follow up on sales appointments to maximize showroom traffic and show rates.
- Conduct outbound follow-up calls, emails, and texts on unsold leads, missed appointments, and prior customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed records of all customer interactions, lead activity, and appointment outcomes in the CRM system.
- Communicate customer needs, expectations, and objections effectively to the sales team to ensure a smooth transition and positive in-store experience.
- Stay current on dealership promotions, manufacturer incentives, inventory availability, and vehicle features.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly contact, appointment, and show goals.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple customer conversations simultaneously.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and ongoing product knowledge development.
- Follow all dealership policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Perform other sales-related duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $18.00 + Commission
