Architecture Intern at Westwood Professional Services Inc – Roanoke, Virginia

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Architecture Intern to join our Land Development team in our Roanoke, VA office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. Our Architecture team works closely with civil, structural, and survey teams to deliver creative, functional, and sustainable designs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You can expect to assist in the design and planning of buildings and spaces within residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

• Helping with site analysis
• Creating architectural drawings and models
• Assisting with conceptual designs
• Drafting floor plans, elevations, and other technical documents
• Collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with zoning laws and regulations

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other discipline specific software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products

Preferred Experience:

• Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
