SUMMARY

The Cash Room Manager oversees cash handling procedures and is accountable for the accuracy of cash management for all Denver Airport businesses. This role requires a high level of integrity and the ability to work proactively and independently

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collect and track daily cash deposits across locations.

· Reconcile cash deposits to sales reports daily and follow up with operations and accounting teams on any discrepancies.

· Maintain accurate and timely cash management logs.

· Manage the distribution of change orders across locations.

· Work with locations to track down discrepancies in individual cash logs, as needed.

· Liaise with armored car service on ongoing basis, including for daily pickups.

· Collect and track airline vouchers and work with individual airlines and internal accounting teams to ensure timely reimbursement.

· Manage cash documentation and filing systems for electronic and paper records.

· Forecast change order needs for all locations and place regular orders with bank and partnered concepts

· Manage and replenish deposit bags and essential Cash Room supplies to ensure all locations and the Cash Room remain fully stocked.

· Maintain communication with locations regarding operational changes due to cash shortages, hours of operation changes, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Ability to reconcile discrepancies and resolve variances

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

· Solid math and basic accounting skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic computer applications

· Ability to analyze reports and identify trends or irregularities

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Sound judgment and decision-making skills

· Ability to work independently

· Strong integrity and ethical standards

· Ability to follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by FMS/Skyport, brand partners, airport, federal, state, and local employment regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Must be able to pass a 10-year TSA criminal background check.

· 2–3 years of cash handling, banking, accounting, or retail operations experience required.

· Experience with POS systems, cash management software, and basic accounting practices required.

· Experience reconciling high-volume cash transactions strongly preferred.

· Bachelors degree preferred.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Airport: This position operates in a climate-controlled international airport environment. The temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public is outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc. The position requires use of public spaces as provided by the airport.

Normal office environment with standard lighting and average noise levels. Prolonged periods sitting at desk working on a computer. Regular/repetitive use of hands and fingers to operate computer components (e.g., keyboard, mouse, etc.). Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, bend, reach, and squat.
